Make overs

A couple of cute make overs.  I got both of these items at the same sale.  A family was having a huge sale to earn money
for a child's trip to England for a martial arts competition.  I always enjoy spending money for a good cause!  After scrubbing,
and stripping the shelf unit I gave it a coat of red milk paint and then dry brushed it with white milk paint, giving it kind of
an old weathered, red barn type of look.  The dimensions are 29 1/2 inches across the front, 7 inches from front to back, and
32 inches tall.  It could be hung on a wall or placed on top of another piece.  The tray would be great to carry wine glasses,
and if you need some I have those too!  The graphic didn't turn out exactly as I wanted but I stained the tray and then brushed a
very small amount of paint over it to give it an even more aged look. The tray dimensions are 16 inches x 11 inches.
These will be at the cabin tomorrow.

  1. Very nice. I love how paint can restore a forgotten or trashed piece of furniture.
